Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has condoled with the families of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, over the passing on of their mother.
In a condolence messages personally signed by the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Nnia Nwodo and made available to journalists in Enugu yesterday, the group expressed deep condolences for the family for the irreparable loss.
In the condolence letters addressed to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of Afara-Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia state, Nwodo said, “on this occasion of the sad loss of your mother, HRH Mrs Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Kanu, Ohanaeze Ndigbo sends you and your family our deepest condolences.
“The loss of your mother in a foreign land and in circumstances where your entire family is involved in self-determination struggles for our people must be traumatizing and destabilizing”.
The sociocultural body urged Kanu and his family to take heart and find solace in the teachings of “our Lord Jesus Christ” which gives all believers in Him the hope that in the end all true believers shall all unite in everlasting communion in His kingdom.
